“The value of the well is not known until it goes dry.”
The idea for the Connemara Terrier Society first began to take shape in 2002. A few short years later, we were a committed and organized group with a clear purpose and plan: To preserve the Connemara Jack Russell Terrier in its highest form. And to keep a true and correct record of the Jack Russell Terriers bred into this line, in the form of a recording all terriers and maintaining a stud book.
To preserve and protect a specific strain/line of Jack Russell Terrier whose origins date back to the late 1800’s Ireland. This terrier is proven, through DNA testing, to be genetically different from all other Jack Russells. Through health testing, a controlled breeding program and a private recording system, we will ensure the Connemara Terrier continues to survive.
By putting health and temperament first, we will continue to breed healthy, hardy, intelligent, loyal and trustworthy companion pets with proven dispositions.
Please look around our website to learn more about the Connemara. - And we thank you for visiting.
